Miro is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Corrective Exercise Specialist. He believes in using scientific principles and evidence-based practice to guide his training sessions and create effective training programs that help athletes reach their ultimate potential. In addition, he always considers the interdependence of each area of the body and views the body, and its segments, as a “system” rather than a series of single-functioning body parts.
Miro went on to study Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. During his studies, he discovered the field of strength and conditioning and became fascinated with the application of exercise science into the athletic development of a variety of athletes as well as minimizing injury risk through proper training protocols.
Miro grew up in the Kitchener-Waterloo region as a competitive basketball athlete and achieved recognition on the regional and provincial scene. He became a WCSSAA basketball all-star and earned MVP honours at Grand River Collegiate Institute as well as earning MVP and all-star recognition by numerous tournaments.
He constantly makes an effort to keep up with the latest research, develop his coaching skills, and expand his knowledge in order to provide the highest quality service at The Armoury.
Outside of The Armoury, Miro enjoys reading, gaming, powerlifting, playing basketball, and watching mixed martial arts.
