Alyssa Lafantaisie is a recent graduate of Sheridan College’s Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy currently holding the title of Provisional Athletic Therapist until she writes the National Certification Exam in June. Alyssa also completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 2021 and is a Registered Kinesiologist as of May 2023. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA as of November 2022. Alyssa used her time at Sheridan College to gain experience in a multitude of settings with a variety of teams allowing her to be a well-rounded therapist with any case that comes her way. Having worked with minor athletes aged 6-18, NCAA athletes aged 18-22, and professional athletes of varied age, size, and sport, Alyssa understands the urgency to return to normal daily life whether that is being a full time student or a high level professional athlete. Alyssa uses her knowledge as a registered Kinesiologist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and as a provisional Athletic Therapist to build treatment plans tailored to your performance needs. Professionally, Alyssa enjoys assessing and treating acute MSK injuries in joins, muscles and ligaments and seeing the growth in an individual from day one to return to activity. Personally, Alyssa is an avid baker and shares all her baked goods with friends and family. Alyssa also enjoys getting in her daily physical activity with yoga, spin classes, and hiking the beautiful trails of Kitchener-Waterloo!
